Dad and I had the opportunity to go for a ride on the horses that lasted more than an hour! Not that the other rides weren't good... anyway... so it was a test, a physical test to see how long the old man could go! You know he just had a birthday and it was important to see if he could still swing a leg over a horse and go for more than an hour ride! HA HA
Well here is a picture and I would have to say that I look pretty good... even though I am saying it of myself!

Well Eric has finally convinced me to join the blogging community. He set this site up all by himself and thought that I should help him out so I'll give it a shot. We don't have any kids yet to brag up and show off so I guess our dogs will have to do for now--we think they're pretty great. We took a Sunday drive today and ended up at Lilly Lake which is up Sunlight Basin for those of you who don't know. It was so pretty up there. Fall is my favorite season so I really enjoyed it because all the trees are turning colors and look awesome plus it had rained recently so everything smelled really good. The dogs had a great time at the lake. They took off at mock 8 exploring everything and before we left there wasn't a bush that hadn't been peed on and a track that hadn't been sniffed. We saw some deer on our way into the lake but not much else until our trip home and then we saw a pretty big moose right on the side of the road. It was pretty close but Eric had to get out his beloved binoculars that he got for his birthday (the recent one where he turned "really old") just to make sure they worked properly. We probably looked like a couple of yahoos sitting on the side of the road looking at a moose through binoculars that was only a few yards away. Oh well, we thought it was pretty cool to see every hair on the thing. Later on when it was almost dark we saw a 6 point bull elk coming onto the road but he ducked off and ran down through the trees before I could get the camera out. It was awesome and I got a twinge of what hunting fever must feel like:) Here's some of our favorite pictures from the day.

This was at the top of Dead Indian. The wind was blowing like crazy but calmed down by the time we got to Lily Lake.

This is a view of Pilot's Peak - One of my favorites up Sunlight

The dogs wouldn't sit still for very long for a picture but we did get a couple.

Here's the moose. It looked a lot closer in person

Those are some great pictures! Eric, did dad have to stand on a rock to get on Chinook? LOL! Hope you had a great ride!
